There are so many elements involved in creating personalised medals and bespoke coins and it’s always a joy to see the finalised product, but one of the most rewarding outcomes is knowing that the products we are creating are helping to contribute to nationwide charity events. A proportion of our business at Medals UK sees us create bespoke medals for running events and races that raise thousands of pounds for charities every year. The Henley Half Marathon and Henley Standard 10K is just one of the latest events we are supporting. This will be Henley Half Marathon’s 33rd year and will see some 2,000 runners participate in the main race and up to 600 in the Henley Standard 10K on Sunday 11 October 2015. The races are organised by the Rotary Club of Henley Bridge and the money raised will support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Rotary’s ‘End Polio Now’ Campaign as well as local and international charities. Both events are hoping to surpass the £20,000 raised last year. The participants can expect to take home custom-made medals 38.61mm in gold which will be a fitting reminder of their achievements. We are delighted to be working again with the Rotary Club of Henley Bridge for the 12th consecutive year and are wishing the runners every luck in completing the race in their desired time and raising as much money for the worthwhile charities as possible. We’ll update with the event’s success in the coming weeks.
